Aug-Dec 2023

Dimensions: Varies

Materials: Cardboard, acrylic paint, wood, filament, fake grass, plastic, paper, wires

WaterLoose is a collaborative work that reimagines Waterloo Street through the lens of humour and childlike wonder.
Waterloose aims to educate audiences on the
historical stories of Waterloo Street through the
means of a functional Board Game. These stories
were curated by our collective through research
and interviewing residents of Waterloo Street.
The idea of a board game surfaced after a mutual
agreement that our collective prioritised fun &
humor, and that Waterloo still had more to be
explored and reimagined as, beyond merely an
installation.
In addition to the stories, the game’s theme and

mechanics were designed with the idea of show-
casing Waterloo Street as a bustling site filled

with chaos, adventure and a sense of community

The Board game consists of 4 main Properties
that can be found on Waterloo Street; Temples,
HDB blocks, South East Asian Hotel & Albert
Centre, sites that piqued our interest during our
site visit.
